About

Paediatrician
Agata Tabiszewska

After years of working at a university hospital and primary care clinics, I founded Miły Gabinet (Friendly Pediatric Clinic) - a child-friendly space where children’s health is cared for in a calm, supportive, and stress-free environment.

Building good rapport with children and working in partnership with parents are the foundations of my medical practice.

Privately, I am a mother of four. Combining professional experience in paediatrics with motherhood allows me to better understand how important trust, safety, and a good relationship are for a child’s health and proper development.

Obesity treatment programme

“Jak to ugryźć?”

A comprehensive programme based on an individual approach to each child and their family. Together, we look at the child’s health, everyday habits, needs and abilities in order to create a realistic, tailored plan of action.

The programme combines paediatric, psychological and dietary care. Our goal is not rapid weight reduction, but a long-term improvement in the child’s health, well-being and quality of life.

How to join the programme?
  1. Book a first visit.
  2. A few days before the visit, write to kontakt@mily-gabinet.pl. In reply, you will receive materials that will help you prepare for the visit and create an individual care plan.
  3. Come to the visit with your child. Remember to bring your child’s health record, the completed materials and a positive attitude :)
  4. We schedule further visits according to the patient’s needs.
  5. Step by step, we work towards big (healthy) changes!

  • Patient-centered approach
  • Partnership with parents

I highly recommend Dr Agata. She always approaches every case with commitment and helps solve the problem without unnecessary antibiotics. Thanks to her, my two daughters are healthy and we have only had to use antibiotics once. She takes great care to educate patients (and parents) about nutrition and daily practices. I recommend her.

The doctor is a wonderful paediatrician, very committed to the comprehensive care of young patients and paying a lot of attention to their individual needs. She has been caring for our two children since birth - we are very happy, and they can’t wait for their next visits to “Dr Agata”.

We come to Dr Agata with all three of our children. During visits, Dr Agata makes sure the young patient is comfortable and tries to carry out the examination as a game, for which I am grateful, as my children run away even from a stethoscope. What is especially important to me is that Dr Agata has never missed a single worrying symptom. (...)

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Infection - how to prepare for the visit?

If possible, it is best to bring your child when they are feeling relatively better, e.g. after administering antipyretic medication or after a nap. This makes the examination easier and less stressful. It is also a good idea to document any worrying symptoms. A video of night-time coughing or photos of a changing rash will help with the diagnosis.

What should you bring with you to your appointment?

Your child’s health record, existing medical documentation (e.g. hospital discharge summaries, test results), favourite toy/cuddly toy, and for younger children - a nappy/blanket.

How to prepare your child for the visit?

Young patients understand more than we (adults) think. It is worth preparing your child for the visit, reading books about their favourite characters at the doctor’s (a selection of such books is also available in the waiting room), practising opening their mouth and taking deep breaths, and playing at listening to their chest. A positive attitude improves the course of the visit.

About a broken thermometer…

I often hear about the struggles of parents of young children with thermometers when their children have infections. Significantly different readings taken with a newly purchased, recommended thermometer, different readings on different parts of the body, and finally, discrepancies between different thermometers can drive carers themselves crazy. One time it shows 37.2 and another time…

“Doctor, could I have something for my immunity?”

I am often asked: ‘Doctor, is there anything for immunity? Something to make my child less prone to illness?’ There are many products available on the market in various forms that claim to be a remedy for all infections. Which ones should you choose? If you want something that is proven and safe, I recommend:…
